A simple yet elegant summer appetizer featuring smoky grilled peaches wrapped in salty prosciutto paired with creamy burrata cheese. Quick to prepare and perfect for warm-weather gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 medium fresh peaches, ripe but firm, sliced into wedges
  • 812 slices thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 1 ball (about 8 ounces) burrata cheese
  • 12 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • A handful fresh basil leaves, torn or whole (optional)
  • Honey, for drizzling
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Sea salt or flaky salt, a pinch

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (about 375Β°F).
  2. Wash and dry the peaches, then slice each into 6-8 wedges, removing the pit carefully.
  3. Toss the peach slices gently in a mixing bowl with 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil, coating evenly.
  4. Wrap each peach wedge with a slice of prosciutto, folding prosciutto if too wide.
  5. Place the prosciutto-wrapped peaches on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, turning carefully until prosciutto is crispy and peaches are slightly softened.
  6. Arrange the grilled peaches on a serving platter and tear the burrata into chunks or slices, nestling it among the peaches.
  7. Drizzle honey generously over everything, scatter fresh basil leaves on top, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  8. Serve immediately, warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Use ripe but firm peaches to avoid mushiness. Watch prosciutto carefully to prevent burning. Drizzle honey last to avoid burning it on the grill. Burrata should be brought to room temperature before serving for best texture. Can prepare peaches wrapped up to 2 hours before grilling. For dairy-free or vegan options, skip prosciutto and burrata and add toasted nuts and a drizzle of maple syrup or balsamic glaze.
