A quick and easy fall cocktail that combines tart apple cider, smooth silver tequila, fresh lime juice, and a warm cinnamon-sugar rim. Perfect for cozy gatherings or a simple weeknight treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces apple cider
  • 1.5 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur (triple sec or Cointreau)
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 ounce simple syrup
  • Cinnamon sugar (2 tablespoons granulated sugar + 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, for rim)
  • Ice
  • Apple slices and cinnamon sticks (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your rim: Run a lime wedge around the top edge of your glass. Dip the rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture, rotating gently to coat evenly. Tap off excess. Let sit for about 30 seconds to set.
  2. Fill your glass with ice (regular cubes or crushed ice).
  3. Add 1.5 ounces of silver tequila over the ice.
  4. Add 1 ounce of orange liqueur.
  5. Add 1 ounce of fresh lime juice.
  6. Add 0.5 ounce of simple syrup.
  7. Top with 2 ounces of apple cider. Stir gently with a bar spoon to combine.
  8. Garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a smoky twist, swap silver tequila for mezcal. For a non-alcoholic version, omit tequila and orange liqueur, add 2 ounces sparkling water and a dash of orange bitters. The pre-mixed base (tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup) can be refrigerated for up to 3 days; add apple cider and ice just before serving.
