A quick and easy air fryer recipe featuring crispy kielbasa and tender, slightly charred bell peppers, perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound smoked kielbasa, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 medium bell peppers (red, yellow, or orange), sliced into strips
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400Β°F (200Β°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Slice kielbasa into 1/2-inch rounds, slice bell peppers into strips, and thinly slice the onion.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine kielbasa, bell peppers, and onions. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Toss until evenly coated.
  4. Place the mixture in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding. Cook in batches if necessary.
  5. Air fry at 400Β°F for 10 minutes, shaking the basket or turning with tongs halfway through.
  6. Check for doneness; if needed, cook an additional 2-3 minutes until kielbasa is crispy and peppers are tender with slight char.
  7. Transfer to a plate or meal prep containers and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Let cool slightly before storing.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even crisping. Toss halfway through cooking to prevent soggy veggies. For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes or smoked sea salt after cooking. If peppers soften too quickly, slice them thicker next time. Use pre-sliced kielbasa to save prep time but slicing fresh controls crispiness better.
