A quick and easy 15-minute party snack featuring thin bread layered with turkey, cheddar, and ranch, coated in panko and parmesan, then air-fried or baked until golden and crispy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices thin sandwich bread
  • 810 slices sliced turkey breast
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup creamy ranch dressing
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 small packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning
  • 23 tablespoons buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 380Β°F (190Β°C) or oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
  2. Prepare three shallow bowls: one with melted butter mixed with garlic powder, one with panko mixed with Parmesan, and one for the bread.
  3. Flatten each slice of bread slightly using a rolling pin or the palm of your hand.
  4. Spread a thin layer of ranch dressing over each slice, leaving a small border on the edges.
  5. Layer 1-2 slices of turkey and sprinkle generously with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Roll the bread tightly into a cylinder from the long edge, tucking in ends if necessary.
  7. Brush each roll with the seasoned butter mixture, then roll in the panko-Parmesan mixture to coat evenly.
  8. Place coated rolls on a plate and refrigerate for at least 5 minutes to firm up.
  9. Place rolls in the air fryer basket in a single layer (do not overcrowd).
  10. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  11. If using an oven, bake for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  12. Let cool for 2 minutes, then slice each roll into 3-4 pinwheels.
  13. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch seasoning, and buttermilk to create the dip.
  14. Serve immediately with the ranch dip.

Notes

Chilling the rolls before cooking is non-negotiable to prevent them from exploding in the heat. Ensure rolls are tight to prevent filling from leaking. If using thick bread, freeze slices for 10 minutes to make them pliable. For gluten-free options, use low-carb tortillas or gluten-free bread, handling with care as they are more fragile.
