A refreshing and creamy iced latte made with brown sugar and oat milk, perfect for a gentle energy boost on warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots espresso or 2 oz (60 ml) strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup (240 ml) oat milk
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar (light or dark)
  • Ice cubes (enough to fill a tall glass)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew your espresso or strong coffee (2 shots or about 2 oz / 60 ml). Set aside while still hot.
  2. Stir 1 to 2 tablespoons of brown sugar into the hot espresso until fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  3. Add ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract and a tiny pinch of sea salt if using.
  4. Fill a tall glass about ¾ full with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the sweetened espresso over the ice.
  6. Slowly add 1 cup (240 ml) of chilled oat milk until the glass is full, leaving some space to stir gently.
  7. Stir gently to combine the layers without losing the contrast.
  8. Optional: Froth a small amount of oat milk and spoon it on top for a creamy foam finish.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh hot espresso to dissolve brown sugar properly. Use large ice cubes to prevent quick dilution. Store espresso and oat milk separately if preparing ahead. Frothing oat milk is optional but adds a nice creamy foam.
