A refreshing and festive cocktail that combines crisp apple cider, tequila, and lime juice with a warm cinnamon sugar rim. This easy-to-make drink captures the essence of autumn and is perfect for fall gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ounces Tequila Blanco
  • 1 ounce Triple Sec or Cointreau
  • 1 ounce Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3 to 4 ounces Apple Cider
  • Cinnamon Sugar (for rimming)
  • Ice (for shaking and serving)
  • Lime wedges (for wetting rim and garnish)
  • Apple slices or cinnamon sticks (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Run a lime wedge around the outer edge of your glasses to wet the rim.
  2. Dip the wet rims into the cinnamon sugar mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Set glasses aside.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker about halfway with ice.
  4. Add 2 ounces of tequila blanco, 1 ounce of triple sec, and 1 ounce of fresh lime juice to the shaker.
  5. Pour in 3 to 4 ounces of apple cider, adjusting based on desired sweetness and strength.
  6. Optionally, add a pinch of ground cinnamon directly into the shaker for extra spice.
  7. Tighten the lid and shake hard for 15 to 20 seconds until the shaker feels cold to the touch.
  8. Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses over fresh ice.
  9. Garnish with a thin apple slice or a cinnamon stick and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, chill your glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes before making the drink to keep it cold longer and help the rim stick. If using sweet apple juice instead of cider, reduce the triple sec and add more lime juice to balance the sweetness. You can make the liquid mixture up to 24 hours in advance and store in the fridge, but shake with fresh ice when serving.
