A quick and easy sparkling mocktail bar recipe perfect for intimate gatherings, using simple pantry staples and fresh citrus to create refreshing, bubbly drinks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) sparkling water, chilled
  • 2 lemons, juiced (about 1/4 cup or 60 ml)
  • 2 limes, juiced (about 1/4 cup or 60 ml)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) fruit juice (orange juice or cranberry juice, 100% juice)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, dissolved)
  • Lemon and lime slices for garnish
  • Fresh mint or basil leaves for garnish
  • Optional: splash of grenadine, muddled berries, or dash of non-alcoholic bitters

Instructions

  1. Prepare simple syrup by combining 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until sugar dissolves. Let cool to room temperature (about 10 minutes).
  2. Juice 2 lemons and 2 limes to get roughly 1/2 cup (120 ml) of juice. Strain to remove seeds and pulp if desired.
  3. In a pitcher, combine the fresh citrus juice with 1 cup (240 ml) fruit juice (orange or cranberry). Add 1/4 cup (60 ml) simple syrup or to taste.
  4. Just before serving, pour in 2 cups (480 ml) chilled sparkling water. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Slice extra lemon and lime rounds thinly and pick fresh mint leaves for garnish.
  6. Fill glasses halfway with ice cubes, pour the sparkling mocktail mixture, and garnish each with a citrus slice and a sprig of mint.
  7. Optional: add a splash of grenadine or muddle fresh berries in the bottom of each glass before pouring the mocktail for extra color and flavor.

Notes

Always add sparkling water last and stir gently to preserve bubbles. Chill all ingredients ahead to keep fizz longer. Simple syrup can be made ahead and stored refrigerated for up to two weeks. Customize with fresh herbs or optional flavor boosters like grenadine or muddled berries. For sugar-free option, omit simple syrup and use naturally sweet juices like pear or white grape.
